Lake Eildon

If you want beautiful scenery, starry nights and good views then Lake Eildon has you covered.
When you arrive at Lake Eildon in the middle of the day you see calm expanses water and huge rolling hills accompanied with winding roads cut into the sides. This is all brilliant but the real magic of the place is in the morning and the afternoon.
“You will never see the stars clearer than this anywhere in Victoria.” – Lukaz.C
At around 6:30 in the morning go down to the edge of the Lake and just get blown away by the breathtaking calmness and the chilling mist that settles over the water like a blanket. The sun which has just peaked over the top of the mountains reflects off the water ripples. The water dances in front of you.
In the afternoon around 9:00 and beyond, turn your head during a cloudless night to the heavens and observe the skys. There are constellations of bears and crabs and toothbrushes, you name it you can see it, millions and millions of star, just amazing.

I would recommend going to Lake Eildon over a long weekend or for clubs holidays or even for just by yourself. Also Lake Eildon is a camping site so you do have to book in advance.
